Thailand blue guppy

Overview: Thailand Blue Guppy, with its vibrant blue color, could be a wonderful addition to the tank. Being a flamboyant guppy, this fish is easy to care for and maintain. The best part with guppies is they are easy to breed, fed, and love to live peacefully without being aggressive to fellow fish. The males are more vibrant and colorful than the female. With their large dorsal and caudal fins, Thailand Blue Guppy requires wider space to swim. They are fancy guppies and can easily turn your tank a lot more appealing. They are the result of selective breeding. 

Distribution and Habitat: Guppies are pretty popular among aquarists, and the major reason behind this is their wider adaptability. Their specialty to easily survive in wider climatic conditions makes Thailand Blue Guppy perfect for all types of tanks; however, they are suitable for freshwater aquariums. Since they are the result of selective breeding, they have large finnage giving them an exotic look. The ancestors of guppies are believed to dwell from places like The Netherlands, Antibes, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Brazil, Guyana, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, the U.S Virgin Islands, and Venezuela.

Temperature: The ideal temperature for Thailand Blue Guppy ranges from 22.5 to 28.5 degrees Celsius. Although they can withstand the extremities, it is advised to maintain the temperature within the range.

Water Conditions: With pH around 7 to 8 and harder water rather than soft is ideal for Thailand Blue guppy fish. Slightly to moderately alkaline water makes the guppies happy. The water hardness could range from 10 to 20 dH.

Breeding: Guppies are easy to breed. They are the livebearer and produce at least 10 to 20 fry in a month. When kept in a separate tank from the parents, the fry grows, and the female reaches 2.5 inches in length. Male fancy guppies reach around 2.5 inches in length with large dorsal and caudal fins as compared to the females. 

Feeding: Thailand Blue Guppies are not fussy eaters. They can munch on anything that comes their way. They can eat homemade fish food like blanched vegetables- carrot, peas, lettuce, egg yolk, or live foods like baby brine shrimp, micro worms, daphnia, vinegar eels, and others. It is essential that you feed your fish enough, or else they start attacking their fry and eat them before they grow up. Ground flake and liquid fish food are other good options to give to Thailand Blue Guppy. 

Lifespan: Thailand Blue Guppy can live for 2 to 3 years healthily when well fed and provided the right water parameters.
